With this tour, Pompeii and Vesuvius, you will visit the famous excavations and the volcano that destroyed the city almost 2000 years ago in one day. The visit starts every day from Naples and reaches Pompeii by bus in just 25 minutes. With an archaeological guide or audio guide* you will take the path that winds through the most important monuments of the city.
Pompeii is the only place in the world where tourists can visit an ancient Roman city that is almost entirely preserved despite the disastrous eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried it under layers of debris, ash and mud. Departing from Naples, you will first reach the archaeological excavations of Pompeii. The visit to the site lasts approximately 2 hours. Your excursion to Vesuvius will be an unforgettable experience that will allow you to admire the Bay of Naples from the top of the mountain. You will reach an altitude of 1000 meters (the height of Vesuvius is 1100m) to admire the crater, which can be reached with a short walk. Once you get there, you will enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples.
